Volunteer lead, technical work
A computer science enthusiast. Leads the technical side of research partnerships between New Zealand and Türkiye on satellite imagery, artificial intelligence and environmental data. Co-author of a peer-reviewed paper on using AI to open up access to land and water data in Aotearoa New Zealand (Taylor & Francis, 2026); the Kuaha Matihiko project, whose team he was part of, won the Land and Water category of New Zealand's National Science Challenge in 2024.
